Stipend to VJNT and SBC Students Studying in ITI, Maharashtra 2017-18

 Social Justice & Special Assistance Department, Government of Maharashtra announces an award of stipend to VJNT and SBC students who are studying in approved ITIs. The key objective of giving this award is to motivate the students belonging to VJNT and SBC categories and raise their interest in technical education.


Who can apply for this scholarship ?

In order to be eligible, an applicant must:




  • Be a trainee of any approved I.T.I.

  • Belong to V.J.N.T. or S.B.C. category

  • Not have the income of parent or guardian more than INR 65,290 per annum


How can you apply ?

ligible candidates can apply for the scholarship offline through their respective ITIs with following steps -

Step 1: Get the application form from the concerned ITI. 

Step 2: Fill in all required details. 

Step 3: Attach necessary documents. 

Step 4: Submit it to the concerned ITI.

Award details-




  • The selected students will get INR 40 to INR 100 per month for ten months as an award of stipend


Stipends to Trainees in Industrial Training Institute 2017-18, Maharashtra
Social Justice and Special Assistance Department, Government of Maharashtra, invites applications for Scheduled Caste students in ITI. The objective of the scheme is to give technical training to SC students in ITI for future job opportunities.

Who can apply for this scholarship ?

Eligibility to apply for the scheme:




  • The student should be Scheduled Caste

  • The student is required to take training in a recognized institute

  • Father's income limit should not exceed INR. 65290/-


How can you apply ?

There is no separate application procedure. Candidates need to apply through their respective Industrial Training Institute.​


Terms and Conditions

Award Details:




  • INR 60 per month will be given to students residing in the hostel of Department of Technical Education. 

  • INR 40 per month will be given by Social welfare department to students residing in the hostel of Department of Technical Education 

  • INR 100 per month will be given by social welfare department to those students who do not get anything from the organization Department of Technical Education.


Pre-Matric Scholarship (Unclean Occupation), Maharashtra 2017-18
The Social Justice and Special Assistance Department, Government of Maharashtra invites applications for Pre-Matric Scholarships from students of Class 1 to 10 whose parents are involved in the unclean occupation. The children of individuals engaged in the occupation like tanning, scavenging, sweeping and flaying will be benefited under this scheme.
Who can apply for this scholarship ?

To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant must -




  • Be studying in Class 1 to 10. 

  • Be children of those involved in an unclean occupation like flaying, sweeping, scavenging and tanning. 



Note: Students of all category can apply for the scholarship and there is no income limit to be eligible for it. 


How can you apply ?

Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship online through following steps -

Step 1: To register as a new user (Note: Candidate should have a mobile number registered with their Aadhaar card to ensure seamless and fast application process.)

Step 2: Complete the Aadhaar authentication process either through OTP or biometric. 

Step 3: The candidates will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number if they opt for OTP authentication.

Step 4: Complete the registration process by filling in all required details. 

Step 5: Log in using username or password. 

Step 6: Complete the application process for the scholarship.

Award Details



The selected students will receive scholarship as under -




  • For Hostellers - INR 700 per month for 10 months will be given to students of Class 3 to 10 along with an adhoc grant of INR 1000 per annum per student.  

  • For Day Scholars - INR 110 per month for 10 months will be given to students of Class 1 to 10 along with the additional adhoc grant of INR 750 per annum.

  • Certificate of Sarpanch and Gram Sevak, Commissioner of Corporation/Deputy Commissioner/Ward Officer, Head of Municipal Corporation for validation of parents' unclean occupation. 

  • Self-declaration about engagement in unclean occupation by parents on stamp paper of INR 20. 


Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship to SC Students , Maharashtra 2018
Social Justice and Special Assistance Department, Government of Maharashtra invites applications for Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship from Scheduled Caste students.
Who can apply for this scholarship ?

Eligibility criteria




  • Students should belong to Scheduled Caste.

  • There is no income limit for the scholarship.



Note: This scholarship will be given in addition to Government of India Scholarship and other Scholarship.

Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship online through following steps -

Step 1:  to register as a new user (Note: Candidate should have a mobile number registered with their Aadhaar card to ensure seamless and fast application process.)

Terms and Conditions

Note: Under this scheme, the Scheduled Caste Students who secured 75% marks or more in the S.S.C. Examination and have taken admission in Class 11. will get a scholarship of INR 300 per month for 10 months for two years i.e. in Class 11 and Class 12.


Open Merit Scholarships in Junior College, Maharashtra 2017-18
School Education Department, Government of Maharashtra invites applications for the Open Merit Scholarships in Junior College, Maharashtra 2017-18 from the students who have secured 60 percent marks in the SSC examination. The objective of this scholarship is to motivate those students for further higher education.
Who can apply for this scholarship ?

In order to be eligible, an applicant must-




  • Be studying in Class 11 or 12.

  • Have secured a minimum of 60 percent marks in the SSC examination. 


How can you apply ?

Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship online through following steps -

Step 1: to register as a new user. (Note: Candidate should have a mobile number registered with their Aadhaar card to ensure seamless and fast application process.)

Step 2: Complete the Aadhaar authentication process either through OTP or biometric.

Terms and Conditions

Important information:




  • For renewal of the scholarship, students will have to secure at least 45 percent marks at the completion of the first year of junior college.

  • The document which is required for the application will be the mark sheet of the SSC examination.



Award details-




  • The students studying in Class 11 and 12 will get INR 50 per month for ten months.


Government of India Scholarship (Class 9 and 10), Maharashtra 2017-18
To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant must -
Be studying in govt. recognised institute
Belong to SC casteBelong to the family where income is less than INR 2.00 lakhs per year.
About the Scholarship
Note:
If the student fails he will not get the scholarship for the year or subsequent yearGirl candidates can avail only one scheme - either the Savitribai Phule Scholarship or the said scheme
For renewal of the scholarship, the students need to complete the class and get admission in next academic year.
