Finances

Vocational Training for VJNT and SBC candidates, Maharashtra 2017-18
The Maharashtra State Government invites applications for Vocational Training of VJNT and SBC students to create self-employment. They receive Vocational Training from any Government I.T.I and undergo short duration vocational training courses.
Who can apply for this scholarship ?

To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant must -




  1. belong to VJNT or SBC Category.

  2. undergoing training from concerned Govt. I.T.I. and concerned Asstt. Commissioner of Social Welfare.


How can you apply ?

The application can be made by the Principal of concerned Govt. I.T.I in which the student has taken admission.


Terms and Conditions

  • The student will receive training fees award of about INR 400 to INR 2400 as per the course which will be paid directly to the concerned I.T.I.

  • Once the student completes the course, a Tool Kit of around INR 1000 will be given through concerned Govt. I.T.I. where they have taken admission


Tuition Fees and Examination Fees to O.B.C. Students, Maharashtra 2017-18
Social Justice & Special Assistance Department, Government of Maharashtra invites applications for the scheme named Tuition Fees and Examination Fees to O.B.C. Students.This scheme is for the O.B.C. students studying in Class 11 to post-graduation. The aim of this scheme is to encourage the OBC students towards higher education by reimbursing their tuition, examination and other fees.
Who can apply for this scholarship ?

To be eligible for the reimbursement, an applicant must-




  • Belong to Other Backward Class (OBC).

  • Be studying in Class 11 to post-graduation.

  • Have the annual income of the parents between INR 1,00,000 to INR 4,50,000.


How can you apply ?

In order to apply, follow the steps given below-

Step 1: Click here to register as a new user (Note: Candidate should have a mobile number registered with their Aadhaar card to ensure seamless and fast application process.)

Step 2: Complete the Aadhaar authentication process either through biometric or OTP.

Step 3: The candidates will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number if they opt for OTP authentication.

Step 4: Complete the registration process by filling in all required details. 

Step 5: Log in using username or password. 

Step 6: Complete the application process for the scholarship.   


Documents Required-

  • Aadhar Card

  • Caste Certificate

  • Caste Validity Certificate (only in case of Professional courses)

  • Bank Passbook Xerox

  • Parent's Income Certificate/Proof

  • CAP round allotment letter (For professional courses)

  • Mark sheet for SSC or HSC

  • Mark sheet for last appeared examination

  • Domicile Certificate of Maharashtra

  • Caste Validity Certificate

  • College admission receipt.

  • Caste certificate issued by Competent authority



Award details-




  • Under this scheme, the tuition fees, admission fees, library fees, laboratory fees, term fees, examination fee and gymkhana fee will be reimbursed to the eligible students.



Note- 




  • The students who are not covered under the government of India and the students with one failure will also be eligible for the reimbursement.

  • Only 50% Education fees will be allowed to professional courses.


Tuition Fees and Examination Fees to VJNT Students (Means Based), Maharashtra 2017-18
The Government of India invites applications to reimburse the fees to students belonging to V.J. and N.T. category. The main objective is to reimburse the payment of fees such as tuition, admission, term, library, laboratory, gymkhana and examination fees at Post Matriculation education in recognized educational institutions.
Who can apply for this scholarship ?

To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant must -




  • belongs to VJNT category

  • belong to a family where annual income is between 1.00 Lakh to 4.50 Lakhs.


How can you apply ?

Eligible candidates can apply online and then manually for the scholarship by following these steps -



Step 1: Click here to apply.

Step 2: Fill the Free ship application form and upload the documents.

Step 3: Submit the form to concerned college.

Step 4: College will check for the form and forward the selected applications to concerned Asstt. Comm. Social Welfare for sanction.

Step 5: For the first year only, the online application is to be filled. From next year till completion the application is renewed by the concerned college itself. The college will forward the application to concerned Asstt. Comm. Social Welfare for sanction of the scholarship.


Terms and Conditions

Purpose Award




  • All compulsory fees as Tuition fees, Examination Fees and other fees will be reimbursed to the concern college/institution.

  • The students if failed once but not covered under Government of India Scholarship are also eligible for this scheme.


Vasantrao Naik Merit Awards 2017 to the VJNT students, Maharashtra
Social Justice and Special Assistance Department, Government of Maharashtra invites applications for VJNT students who came First in State or First on Board of 10th and 12th Standard Examination. The objective of the scheme is to motivate VJNT students for Higher Education.
Who can apply for this scholarship ?

To be eligible for the scholarship:




  • A student must belong to VJNT category.

  • Student of 10th or 12th standard, who stood First in State, or First in Board Examination 

  • First Boy and First Girl, Student who stood first in state and board.


How can you apply ?

There is no separate application procedure.The Director of  State Board of SSC/HSC will call for a list of  VJNT students passing SSC and HSC Exams. The selection of students is made on the basis of marks obtained in SSC or HSC Exam.


Savitribai Phule Scholarship Award for B.C.Girl Students 2017-18
Social Justice & Special Assistance Department, Government of Maharashtra invites applications for the Savitribai Phule Scholarship Award for B.C. Girl Students. The girl students of Class 8th to 10th are eligible for this scholarship. The objective of this scholarship is to promote education among the girls of B.C. category.
Who can apply for this scholarship ?

In order to be eligible; an applicant must-




  • Be a girl of B.C. category.

  • Be studying in Class 8th to 10th.



Note- There is no any income limit for this scholarship.


How can you apply ?

  • The application can be done through the school.

  • The School Headmaster will prepare the list of eligible candidates and will send it to the related District Social Welfare Officer, Zillah Parishad.


Terms and Conditions

Award details-




  • The eligible candidates will get an amount of INR 100 per month for ten months. 


Professional Technical Training to Scheduled Caste Students, Maharashtra 2017-18
The objective of this scheme is to make the less educated students self-employed by providing short-term technical courses training.
Who can apply for this scholarship ?

To be eligible, an applicant must-

Belong to scheduled caste

Be minimum Class 4th passed student.


How can you apply ?

In order to apply for this scheme, please contact to the concerned Principal of Industrial Training Institute (ITI).


Terms and Conditions

Award details-




  • The selected candidate will get INR 100 per month as scholarship amount and a tool kit.

  • The student will also get the free training in ITI.



Note-




  • The duration of training will be 1 week to 2 months.

  • The expenditure of every student as per G.R. will be approximately INR 2,500.
