Vijayan was able to overcome all hardships and eventually emerged successful. The marvelous growth of the school from 11 students in 1986 to 13,000 students in 2011 is the testimony of his success. The student strength of Alwin Memorial Public School is about 2800. For all his hardwork and dedication, he was successfully honoured by both the state and central governments.
