Navy Children School is a co-educational school for classes from Stds I to XII and is located in the Navy Nagar at Colaba. This school was commissioned on 14 November 1989 by Mrs. Krishna Jain, President, Naval Wives Welfare Association and follows CBSE curriculum.Founded in 1984, it is run by the Indian Navy as part of the chain of Navy Children School throughout India. Its main building is located within Navy Nagar, in the southernmost part of Mumbai. It was previously located in colaba, where the Naval Institute of Technology is now situated. It boasts of its marvellous success rate, and has won laurels in many sports, academics, and inter school activities.This school has recently added the new technology of smart boards. The children attending this school are mainly from the Naval Officers and Families Resedential Area (NOFRA) and Old and New Navy nagar.

Admission Procedure

Enrollment of Naval children in NCS(MB) is governed by the existing NES policy viz 'No naval student is denied enrollment in NCSs.Naval children coming from other NCSs are granted enrollment wthout any enrollment test.However children coming from schools other than NCSs are given an enrollment test to ascertain their level of performance so that necessary remedial measures are taken if necessary.   1.Enrollment Form: To be downloaded from website Duly filled enrollment document with Registration fees of Rs.200/- and following docs to be deposit in institution office between 9:30 am to 12 noon   2.Priority For Enrollment: The order of priority for enrollment is as follows:- Categ.-I : Children of serving Naval Personnel Categ.-II : Children of serving Army /IAF/Coast Guard personnel, who are on deputation to Navy Categ.-III : *Children of retired Naval Personnel Categ.-IV : *Children of retired Army and Air Force Personnel Categ.-V : Children of NCS Staff Categ.-VI : Children of Defence Civilian Personnel Categ.-VII: Others * Children of all Ex-naval personnel given the status of Ex-servicemen will be eligible under Cat III. Personnel who do not qualify for this categ. will be accorded Categ. VII. The decision of the institution administration in regards to the enrollment will be final.   3.Age Limit: Standard I The pupil must have attained a min age of 5 yrs and max of 7 yrs on 31 Mar of the year in which enrollment is sought. Other Classes The min and max age for enrollment to all other succeeding classes will be calculated based on the age limits prescribed for Std. I.   4.Certificate of Birth: The acceptable evidence of age will be the Certificate of Birth givenby a competent group e.g., Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, Notified Area Committee of the place of birth of student for std. I or T.C from previous institution for all subsequent classes.   5.REGISTRATION FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE. REGISTRATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE ENROLLMENT.   RULES FOR PAYMENT OF FEES 1. The institution has tied up with Axis Bank, EC, 625, GD Somani Memorial School, Cuffe Parade, Colaba, Mumbai for fee collection. The fee collection will be made by the representative of the Bank at the institution office in Navy Nagar. 2. Fee payment booklets will be givento all children at the time of enrollment. The father/mother / guardians are to ensure that all entries in the booklets are accurately made so that the transactions between the bank and the Institution Fund are error free. In case of loss of Fee Payment Booklet, duplicate duplicate for the same will be givenon payment of Rs.10/-. 3. Tuition Fee for Ex-servicemen (officers/sailors) will be as per the rank held at the time of retirement. 4. The name of the student will be struck off the Roll, if fees is not paid till the final day of the due month.   Father/Mother have the option to deposit fees for the whole year in advance.   No transactions/enquiries on Sat   5. For each student, a separate cheque to be deposit .   6. Quarterly Fee Payment Schedule   Installment Period Fee Month I Aprl - Jun Apr II Jul - Sep Jul III Oct - Dec Oct IV Jan - Mar Jan Father/Mother/guardians have the option to pay fees either by cash or cheque at the institution office counter OR through drop boxes placed at the institution office at Navy Nagar during the stipulated period. Children who carry CHEQUE can drop the cheque and Booklet in the drop box. Children are NOT ALLOWED to visit the institution office/office window. 8. Cheques must be drawn in favour of Navy Children Institution Fund. The name of the student and class, section and telephone no: must be written on the reverse side of the cheque. In case a cheque is returned from the Bank due to any reason, such cases will be liable for disciplinary/legal action and a penalty of Rs.250/- will be levied.   9. Outstation cheques will not be accepted.   10. New enrollment children are requested to pay fees as per the table.   11. The Categories: Officers: ' O'; MPCO & CPO (Serv & Retd.): 'SS; PO & Below (Serv & Retd.): 'JS', Civilian 'CIV'   12. Caution Deposit   Refundable caution deposit will be paid back after all dues like fees etc. are cleared. Caution deposit will not be refunded if the student is expelled from the institution for any reason. NOTE: Mass Media, Computer Science and IP children will be charged Computer Fee.   WITHDRAWAL FROM SCHOOL   Cases of Withdrawal   By father/mother:One month's notice is to be given with fees paid for the month.     On Disciplinary Grounds: A student may be suspended / expelled from the institution by the Principal, on the advice of the Discipline Committee, for bad conduct or bad behaviour considered detrimental to institution discipline.   Reenrollment is subject to clearance of all dues and availability of seat.   Issue of T.C 1. Application for TC is to be given at least one month in advance. TC will be givenonly on clearance of all dues.   2. Form of application for T.C in institution almanac is to be duly filled.   3. Xerox duplicate of fees paid is to be attached   4. One CANCELLED CHEQUE is to be deposit along with the TC. Application for refund of Caution Money through NEFT transfer.   5. Duplicate duplicate of a TC is not normally given. Duplicate duplicate may be givenon production of an affidavit that the original TC has been lost and a penalty of Rs.100/- will be charged.   6. In case TC has been applied for, there will be no cancellation. Re- Enrollment can be done.   7. If TC date is 11th or any day after 10 , fee for the whole month will be retained by the school.   Use of Unfair Means   The following practices will be considered as ''unfair means'':- During examination possession of papers, chits, books, notes or any other material or details relevant to the paper concerned. Giving or taking assistance directly or indirectly of any kind or attempting to do so. Children are liable to face disciplinary action for using unfair means as per NES Rules, para 5, pg. no. 31 of this almanac.

    I want my son 2year 6 month and my daughter 5 year 2 month to take admissionin navy children school.we don't have army ,navy background.What are the procedure to take admissionin for civilian kid
