Karate Lessons
Why Karate/Martial arts?
The typical gym routine — running on a treadmill followed by lifting heavy objects — can get pretty monotonous. If you’re looking for a new way to spice up your workouts, why not try throwing some strikes, punches and roundhouse kicks into the mix? Martial arts classes are a great way to not only get in shape, but learn how to whoop a butt or two in the process.
Other Description

“Your ability to handle stress, pressure and pain and to make a clear, conscious and positive decision will be light years ahead” after learning martial arts. In other words, you can expect to learn some unexpected lessons during class.

There are several mental benefits to participating in karate. Karate will help to improve your confidence and respect. Practicing karate also helps to improve discipline and mental toughness . These mental benefits can then be used in your everyday life.

The great thing about karate is that it’s a fun workout to burn your calories. Many people don’t realize the time that’s passing while they’re learning, and feel great afterwards.

For those who are looking to engage in physical activity that will improve your health and still allow you to have fun, this is the right thing!

So “Why Wait? Start Now!”

We were walking around when we saw this beautiful planter, absolutely bursting with flowers. We almost shouted with delight, and couldn't stop talking about it. Until we said, enough talk, let's paint the picture. Freeze the moment when the Earth smiled her most beautiful smile at us.

Practical Matters

Plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early to settle in and enjoy the atmosphere. If you’re a few minutes late, we will help you ‘catch up’. If you’re more than 15 minutes late, you’ll need to reschedule. It’s your fun time out, arrive early!

No refunds will be given on cancellation/no-show, but you can attend another one of our future events, preferably at the same location.

During the session we reserve the right to take photos. These may be used as promotion on our social media. If you do not want your picture taken for these purposes, please let us know. We want to respect your privacy. Feel free to take your own pictures and share on your social media!

Although we provide aprons, wear something you don’t mind getting paint on. For example, white pants are not the best option. Which is such a pity because if you can pull off white pants, by golly, you should wear them… just not to our event. Let’s face it – paint splatters and drips! And once acrylic is on your clothes, it likes to stay there.

Imagine an intimate theatre where you, as an audience-member, share a real-life incident from your life and choose a set of trained actors to play you and the other crucial parts in your story. Imagine then, that you sit back and watch your story come to life through a theatre that is spontaneous and gripping, even as a group of musicians play soulfully in the background.

And as your story is performed for you, you get the unique opportunity to watch it from a different perspective and thereby draw more empowering lessons from this re-enactment.

Other Description

This is a theatre of empathy. Of honouring the "teller". Of playing-it-back in a manner that does justice to the teller. All stories are safe in this environment. For the teller and the audience, it is a shared experience.

In its essence, Playback theatre seeks to provide a space for us to connect the dots in our lives by helping us run a thread of reflection and understanding through our stories.

Playback Theatre is performed in a ritualized-yet-improvisational manner. It has its origins in the early 70's in New York. Founded by an American couple, Jonathan Fox and Jo Salas, this interactive theatre is practiced in more than 60 countries around the globe today.

The Actors Collective, led by Rajesh P.I is a "new-old" group. Rajesh has been practicing this form since it started in a big way in India in 2000. The Actors Collective is a vibrant group of exceptional actors who come from diverse backgrounds. The group usually performs on the fourth Sunday of every month at Lahe Lahe, this being for the 36th time.

The mission of The Actors Collective is to use theatre to foster peace, sensitivity and love among fellow people.

About the Event

Little bit about Improv

Improv is a spontaneous form of a theater.

Where nothing is rehearsed or pre-decided. Everything e.g characters, scenes and dialogues are formed on the stage spontaneously in front of audience. Audience plays an important role in this form as often what gets performed on the stage is based on their suggestions.

Improv is such an excellent medium for all. It's known for many things e.g

1. It brings out the desire to create more in life

2. Often it's an antidote to depression and self doubt.

3. Teaches one to be non judgemental

4. Teaches us to laugh at own mistakes

5. Allows us to look at possibilities in life rather than problems

6. It channelise emotions, feelings, and thoughts in a direction that will create more

7. It allows improvisers to be calmer and more present in life.

And lots of wonderful things.

Past Events

Are you a spiritually inclined human who is hungry for more spiritual insight? Are you someone who has had a very emotionally shaking experience that has changed you forever? Are you someone who has opened up to spirituality and looking for answers? Are you curious about the functioning of the mind? Are you struggling with not being able to have any “control” over your thoughts and emotions? Are you curious about the sub conscious mind? Are you someone looking to learn more about yourself? Do you long to be creative? Are you ready to look deep within? If your answer to any of these questions is yes, then this session is for you

About the Event

Agenda

· What is the mind?

· Theory of Mind

· Understanding Our Emotions

· Defense Mechanisms of the mind

· Why transcend the mind?

1) Please come with an open mind. The session is all about openness and trust. It’s a journey from fear to faith. Most of all, come with a burning desire to learn.

2) A lot of your intellectual questions might be answered and your long held belief systems might be questioned as well. However, our intellect is only an instrument to help us understand things intellectually. The experience is a different ball game altogether.

3) This session is not a workshop but an information session. We will share some tools with you which will help you be able to cope with your current situation. However, the onus of taking this journey forward will lie on you. This session will put you on the start line for the marathon that you will run. The inner journey takes time, trust and courage after which it truly starts to open new avenues for us.

4) Please bring a writing instrument (pen and notebook) of your choice. The workshop PPT will be shared with you post the session.

In love and trust, see you there!
