Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC Students (Class 9 & 10) 2018-19, Delhi
The Government of NCT of Delhi invites applications for Pre-Matric Scholarship for SC Students (Class 9 & 10) 2018-19, Delhi. The scholarship scheme is open for students of class 9 and 10 belonging to the SC community. Students who are the domiciles of Delhi can get up to INR 1000 per month as financial assistance for pursuing education. The scheme has been launched with an objective of financially supporting the education of students belonging to economically weaker sections.
Who is offering this scholarship ?

The scholarship is being offered by the Department for the Welfare of SC/ST/OBC, Government of NCT of Delhi.


Who can apply for this scholarship ?

To be eligible for this scholarship, an applicant must-




  • Be a student of class 9 or 10

  • Belong to Scheduled Caste (SC)

  • Be a domicile of Delhi

  • Have an annual family income not exceeding INR 2.5 lakhs per annum

  • Be enrolled in a Government school or in a School recognized by Govt. of a Central/State Board of Secondary Education

  • Not be receiving any other centrally/state-funded scholarship


What are the benefits ?

The following are the benefits offered under this scheme-




  • Class 9 and 10 students will receive a scholarship of INR 225 per month (day scholars) and INR 750 per month (hostellers).

  • There will be a books and ad-hoc Grant of INR 525 (day scholars) per annum and INR 1000 (hostellers) per annum.


How can you apply ?

Follow the below steps to apply-



Step 1: The applications can be submitted online through the E-district portal.

Step 2: Login using existing credentials or register as a new user.

Step 3: Provide all the relevant details and follow the instructions.

Step 4: Select the scholarship scheme and upload the required documents.

Step 5: Submit the application.


What are the documents required

  • Residence Proof

  • Aadhaar Card

  • Cast Certificate (For Minority Self declaration)

  • Income Certificate

  • Bank Details of students (Aadhaar seeded)

  • Previous Class Mark Sheet

  • Fee Structure (If applicable)

  • Fee Receipt (If applicable)

  • Verification Letter (for outside Delhi application)


What are the important dates ?

  • Applications open- 1st December 2018

  • Application deadline- 28th February 2019


Terms and Conditions

  • The scholarship will be provided to all the students fulfilling the eligibility criteria.

  • Students will receive the scholarship for a duration of 10 months.

  • Bank account of the student should be seeded with his/her Aadhaar and should be in his/her name.

  • The mobile number provided by the student should be active as it will be used for all future communications.


Merit Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC/Minority Students, Delhi 2018-19
The scholarship is being offered by the Directorate of Education, Government of NCT of Delhi.

Who can apply for this scholarship ?
An applicant must be studying in class 1 to 12 of any Public School/ Govt./ Aided/ Kendriya Vidyalaya/ NDMC/ Delhi Cantonment Board
.If a student is an SC/ST, then no income limit is required but if the students is an OBC, then family income must not be more than INR 2 lac per annum.
What are the benefits ?

SC/ST/Minority: Class 1 to 8: INR 1000 per annum OBC: Class 6 to 8INR 600 per annum (must have scored 55% to 60% marks in the previous class) INR 720 per annum (must have scored 60% and above marks in the previous class)SC/ST/OBC /Minority Students: Class 9 to 10 INR 1620 per annum (must have scored 50% to 60% marks in the previous class) INR 2040 per annum (60% and above marks in the previous class)SC/ST/OBC/ Minority Students: Class 11 to 12: INR 3000 per annum (must have scored 55% to 70% marks in the previous class) INR 4500 per annum (must have scored above 70% marks in the previous class)

Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through their respective schools or directly to the Department of Welfare of SC/ST/OBC/Minority.
