CISCE to have its own syllabus from pre-school to class 8


CISCE chief executive and secretary Gerry Arathoon said that students studying in pre-school till class VIII in schools affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) will have to study a curriculum prescribed by the Board right from academic session 2017-18.

The curriculum prepared by the Board will be released at the 59th annual conference of Association of Schools for the Indian School Certificate (ASISC) in Lucknow. Arathoon reiterated that the revised syllabi for ISC (class XII) and ICSE (class X) will be applicable for students taking the exam in 2018. He also added that this change will lead to upward mobility and will help the students in preparing for their board examinations in a better way.
